Best Lunch(14) SuuroSaikan Bekkan

This is the “Best Lunch in My Memory”. This lunch was one of the most impressive and delicious meals I had in Chinatown.

Please take your time and enjoy.

Happosai (Stir-fried Vegetables and Meat)

Lunch was in Chinatown.
I went to “SuuroSaikan Bekkan” in front of Zenrinmon Gate.

Today’s “Lunch Menu”.

Today I asked for “Happosai” (Stir-fried Vegetables and Meat in Starchy Sauce).

Right away, vinegared cabbage, Chinese pickles, rice, and soup.

This alone is enough to eat rice.

Here comes the “Happosai“. But it doesn’t look like that, haha.

Still, what a gorgeous look!

Pork belly (stewed in cubes), sausage, and chicken meatballs. I’ve never seen anything like it.

To explain a little, the main dish is diced pork belly stewed in soy sauce. Then it is stir-fried with a variety of ingredients.

Proteins are pork belly, minced chicken, plate sausage, shrimp, and quail eggs. Vegetables include carrots, broccoli, shiitake mushrooms, and baby corn.

It is truly a creative “Happosai“.

With a full stomach, I finished with apricot pudding & coffee.

A very satisfying lunch with no complaints.
