(65) Chikubushima “Hatsushibori”

Finally, tomorrow is New Year’s Eve. There are only a few days left.

Tonight’s ShigaSake is here. Yoshida Shuzo’s Chikubushima “Hatsushibori Junmai Ginjo”.

I first smelled the aroma to see what the last ShigaSake of the year would be like. Then, a slightly distinctive sweet aroma with a slight fermentation feeling.

Oops, I wondered if the last one was a yogurt-based sake.

Taking a sip, one first senses a sharp acidity. It is not quite a yogurt type, but the sour taste with a sense of fermentation spreads in the mouth.

And the sweetness I smell in the aroma doesn’t show itself very much. If anything, it would be a dry sake.

Sweet aroma and dry taste. This unexpected feeling is also good.

I think it’s a bit different from the taste of authentic sake. However, it is my personal favorite type of sake and I can drink it very easily.

Actually, I drank it as a lunchtime drink while playing mahjong, but it was gone before dinner, haha.

It was a delicious sake.
