(58) Sanrensei “AkinoUta Junmai Ginjo”

Here is tonight’s evening drink. This is “Sanrensei” by Mifuku Shuzo. It is AkinoUta Junmai Ginjo.

This sake is a follow-up to the Taga “AkinoUta Junmaishu” that I drank the other day, and is made from Shiga’s edible rice, “AkinoUta”. I’ve been looking forward to it.

First I put the glass close to my face and it has a good aroma with a little sweetness. Taga’s sake also had a very good aroma, but this one also made a good impression.

I took a sip and it was still a little sweet and mellow. Not only that, but fresh acidity and spiciness add to the balance.

It is neither too sweet nor too spicy, but has depth of flavor. With a sake degree of +2, it seems to be just the right mid-palate sake.

The flavor of “AkinoUta” spreads in the mouth, and when swallowed, the flavor disappears softly.

This is delicious!

I may have become a fan of “AkinoUta”. I also look forward to our next encounter…
