(56) Emishiki “Sensation Gold”

Tonight’s evening sake is Emishiki Shuzo’s Emishiki “Sensation Gold.

This is the third in the “Sensation” series, following Red and Blue. I look forward to seeing how they differ.

My first impression of the fragrance is that it is very fresh and gorgeous. The fragrance is as good as expected. This just makes me happy.

I put it in my mouth and found a refreshing sweetness and sourness that came quickly. And I can feel the elegant flavor of rice wrapped in them.

All the other “Sensation” products are “Hiire” and only this “Gold” is “NamaZake”, but it may be the best in terms of its cool and high quality flavor.

It is light sweet, so it is easy to drink, refreshing, and has a good sharpness.

And there is a slight lingering acidity that leaves I wanting the next glass immediately. It is a drink that seems to go down very smoothly.

I was lucky to be able to taste it because it is said to be a December-only sake.
