(55) Hatsusakura “Junmai Mizukagami”

Tonight’s evening drink is Yasui Shuzojo’s Hatsusakura “Junmai Hiire Mizukagami”.

The label reads “Sake Degree +16”! Why did I buy such a strong opponent, haha.

Maybe it’s because I’ve seen the label, but the aroma seems pretty sharp. Is this a bad idea?

When I put my mouth on it bravely, I said, “Oh? That’s not spicy.” No, what’s hard is hard, but it doesn’t feel like +16.

The spiciness and acidity are not weak, but they match well with the umami of mizukagami, giving the impression of a straight, clean, dry sake.

The taste is not so harsh, and it goes down smoothly and with a good sharpness.

It was easy to drink in a way, a delicious sake.

So I decided that if it tasted this good, I had to try heating it up.

Then, as expected, it’s very good.

The mellowness of the rice is increased, the flavor of the rice is enhanced, and the taste is further doubled.

I think it is a great drink, especially in situations like “warming up a cold body in the cold season”.

Oh no, the numbers are not reliable, haha.
