(42) Mifuku “ODENe’d MIFUKU”

Tonight’s evening drink is Mifuku Shuzo’s Mifuku “ODENe’d MIFUKU”.

The label is full of oden, and “Next is your hot pot, Oden de Mifuku”. How much more~! I thought, haha.

I don’t know if there is such a thing, but is it a special sake for “Hot-only”?

At any rate, the first thing I did was to try it cold and enjoy its gentle and pleasant aroma, which was very much in the spirit of sake.

For being labeled dry, it is mellow on the palate and has a strong umami flavor of rice.

It is dry, so the flavor is supported by spiciness and acidity. However, because of the strong umami of the rice, many people find the “umami” sweet.

Oh no, it’s delicious!

Of course, I also tried it warmed, but the acidity was removed and the umami of the rice was greatly enhanced.

The lingering aftertaste is also very good, with a long extension of umami. I think it is better when heated.

The “Hot-only” is a lie. It is delicious enough even when served cold.
