(33) Daijiro “Yamahai Junmai Hiire”

Tonight’s evening drink is here. This is Hata Shuzo’s Daijiro “Yamahai Junmai Hiire”.

In fact, “Daijiro” was the first Shiga sake I encountered. (Probably)

Almost 30 years ago, I lived in Ebisu, Tokyo for a few years, and at that time, a liquor store in my neighborhood sold this product.

Looking at the label again, it is “Sake degree: +5, Acidity: 2.3”, so it may be quite dry.

So, when I tried it on, my first impression was a clean and mild aroma. There is no hint of sweetness.

When I sipped it, the mouthfeel was not harsh, and the spiciness and rice flavor flowed smoothly.

The spiciness takes care of the mild acidity and sweetness, making the sake very easy to drink even though it is dry.

If I am not hungry, I can drink it easily without a side dish. It can be said to be an authentic and delicious dry sake.

  • Alc:17%

Thanks to today’s ShigaSake.
