This is the “Best Lunch in My Memory”. This lunch was one of the most impressive and delicious meals I had in Chinatown.
Please take your time and enjoy.
Mapo Tofu & Stir-fried squid and vegetables
Lunch was in Chinatown.
I went to “SuuroSaikan Bekkan” in front of Zenrinmon Gate.
Today’s “Lunch Menu”.
Today I chose “Stir-fried squid and vegetables”. My companion requested “Mapo Tofu“ again.
Soon, vinegared cabbage, Szechuan pickles, soup, and rice.
Today’s soup is with radish, egg white and tofu. It is filling and satisfying.
First, “Mapo Tofu”.
The visual that they made it spicy.
I can really feel the effort of the chefs. Thank you.
The shine of the hot sauce is wonderful. It may not be extremely hot, but it will be spicy enough.
I poured this over rice and ate more and more.
Yes, thick, sweet, sansho hot, chili hot. Very nice!
Next came “Squid and Vegetables.”
A big plate, a big squid. Voluminous as usual.
Squid is even bigger than a large serving spoon!
I tried to eat a slice right away, but it was too big, haha.
However, the squid is extremely soft and easy to eat as it can be easily chewed through.
The taste is salty and tasty, and the bamboo shoots and edamame beans have a very nice texture.
Completely full, after-lunch apricot jelly and hot coffee.
It was delicious today. But I’m eating too much!
