Best Lunch(27) Keitokuchin

This is the “Best Lunch in My Memory”. This lunch was one of the most impressive and delicious meals I had in Chinatown.

Please take your time and enjoy.

Stir-fried Squid, Scallops and Vegetables

Lunch was in Chinatown.
Went to “Keitokuchin” on Ichiba Street.

This week’s “lunch menu”.

Today I ordered the “Wok-fried squid, scallops and vegetables with sansho and chili pepper”.

Immediately, rice, soup, and two small plates.

Soup is hot corn soup. Small plates are minced meat & glimpses, pickled daikon radish tamari. I ate quite a bit of rice with just this.

A few minutes later, “Stir-fried Squid, Scallops” was delivered.

There are all sorts of ingredients on this plate.

The main ingredients are squid and mini scallops, but there are also a variety of vegetables.

Mushrooms, shishito peppers, ginnan, white onions, and bamboo shoots. That’s a pretty creative combination.

I took a bite right away. Wow, it’ s spicy!

Seriously, it’s hard! I didn’t think it would be this spicy. Both “numbing” and “spicy” are quite hard.

Especially the cut up shishito peppers and bamboo shoots. Each cavity is filled with hot sauce and chili seeds.

These guys are the evil ones! , haha.

But that doesn’t mean it’s not good. The squid is tender, the mini scallops & mushrooms are plump and delicious.

Shishito is crispy and Ginnan has a good texture. Each is well cooked and tasty.

Dessert is apricot jelly.

The sweetness of a Buddha in hell.
