This is the “Best Lunch in My Memory”. This lunch was one of the most impressive and delicious meals I had in Chinatown.
Please take your time and enjoy.
“Fried Flounder” & “Shrimp with Cheese Sauce”
Lunch was in Chinatown.
Went to “Jukeihanten Shinkan”.
This week’s “weekday lunch” menu.
Today I ordered “Deep-fried Flounder with Special Soy Sauce” and “Shiba Shrimp with Cheese Sauce”.
Soon, a pot of tea, Chinese pickles and soup.
This week’s soup is “Matsutake mushroom and tofu soup”. Really nice aroma.
Within minutes, rice and “shrimp cheese”.
The bottom is French fries. The top is shrimp. They are covered with a thick-looking cheese.
There were more than a dozen large shrimp. They must have been a New Year’s gift.
I quickly tossed the oversized shrimp in the cheese sauce and took a bite. Delicious!
The cheese on the thin batter is a nice touch. The sauce has a subtle Chinese flavor, which is interesting.
When I eat it with rice, it’s like eating shrimp doria. It is a taste that is hard to find in Chinatown lunch.
The french fries underneath are also dusty and delicious, and I really feel like I am receiving a New Year’s gift.
Later “fried flounder”.
Flounder on a bed of lettuce! Wow, the volume of this dish is also amazing.
The white onions and coriander on top of the pile of flounder are very appetizing.
I marinate the fried flounder in the soy sauce, then top it with white onion and coriander and gulp it down.。
Oh, flounder and soy sauce go well together. This is also a dish that makes the rice go down a treat.
This dish was also fried, but it had a very different taste from the shrimp cheese, which was nice.
It was a lot of food, but I had the guts to finish it, haha. The last dessert was “almond jelly”.
My start to the year is off to a good start.
