Best Lunch(25) Kyokaro Honkan

This is the “Best Lunch in My Memory”. This lunch was one of the most impressive and delicious meals I had in Chinatown.

Please take your time and enjoy.

Szechuan style: Braised pork cubes, Stir-fried seafood

Lunch was in Chinatown.
We went to “Kyokaro Honkan” on Kanteibyo Street.

This week’s “Lunch Menu”.

Today, We ordered “Szechuan-style braised pork cubes” and “Szechuan-style stir-fried seafood”.

First, rice, soup, Chinese pickles, and apricot pudding.

Today’s soup is tomato & tofu. Soup with tomatoes has a pleasant sour taste. And the Chinese pickles are delicious.

The “braised pork cubes” are served first.

I immediately took a bite of the big one. The meat was moderately tender again today.

It was nice that the meat loosened at the border between the lean and fatty parts.

But it’s very Hot!

The pork itself is not that spicy, but the sauce is! So the vegetables underneath are even spicier than the pork.

That’s what makes white rice taste so good.

Later, “Stir-fried seafood.”

There are a lot of shrimp, matsukasa squid, and scallops.

There is only one SPICY mark on the menu, but it looks solidly spicy.

And when I tried it, it was sweet! , haha.

I think I’ve had this dish a few times before, but I don’t remember it being this sweet.

But as an assortment, it goes well with braised pork cubes.

Spicy and sweet, meat and seafood, and vegetables do not overlap. It’s well done!

After filling up, we had apricot pudding for dessert.

Very tasty and well-balanced lunch.
