(21) Kirakucho “Tawawa”

Tonight’s evening drink is here. This is Kitashuzo’s Kirakucho “Tawawa”.

Seasonally, golden ears of rice are a nice touch. This sake is Junmai Ginjo-shu, RPR:60%.

The label reads, “May this sake be kind to your heart”. It is very heartwarming.

The first impression is a rather light aroma, reminiscent of mild sake.

The mouthfeel is mild, with a light acidity that makes it easy on the palate.

In the mouth, I can taste the sweetness and umami of the rice, followed by a moderate spiciness.

When swallowed, the spiciness is felt only for a moment and then quickly disappears.

Easy to drink with a refreshing aftertaste. The glass emptied quickly.

I had sake with a dish of red tuna and bonito tataki, and it made my heart tender.

It is a very easy to drink and delicious sake.
