This is the “Best Lunch in My Memory”. This lunch was one of the most impressive and delicious meals I had in Chinatown.
Please take your time and enjoy.
Pork shabu-shabu with spicy garlic sauce
Lunch was in Chinatown.
Went to “Keitokuchin” on Ichiba Street.
This week’s “lunch menu”.
Today I requested “Pork shabu-shabu and vegetables with spicy garlic sauce”.
Immediately, rice, soup, and two small plates.
The soup with clams was salty, but the clams were delicious.
The small plates are fried corn and pickled kiriboshi-daikon.
A few minutes later, the “pork shabu-shabu” appeared.
It’s an adaptation of the “Unpairo” dish.
The white pork belly and brown sauce looks so glamorous.
I immediately took a bite of the meat with sauce. Yum, yum! Delicious!
I can’t get over the sweetness of the tangy, garlicky sauce.
Oh man, I definitely want a beer. (Unfortunately, it’s rice.)
Vegetables are tomatoes, kaiware, and shiso leaves. Thin noodles and cucumbers are also hidden underneath.
The meat and vegetables are well balanced, and it is a very well-made dish.
Don’t eat it if you have a business meeting in the afternoon, haha.
I finished my meal well and had apricot pudding for dessert.
Oh no, I’m satisfied!
